Test Attendee Registration Before Going Live

This article shows which functions you should test in the frontend before enabling attendee registration.

Complete at least one test booking from start to finish. This allows you to check not only the booking process itself, but also email delivery, the generated booking confirmations and, if applicable, invoices.

Relevant Menu Paths

The actual test is carried out in the attendee registration frontend.

The following menu paths are particularly relevant for correcting errors:

  • Configuration → Attendee Registration → Configuration, and

  • Configuration → Attendee Registration → Offer wizard

Checklist

  • Complete a test booking in the frontend from start to finish

  • Check that all mandatory fields are completed

  • Check the links to the legal notice, terms and conditions and privacy policy

  • Check the action names of the mandatory fields

  • Check the text of the booking confirmation email

  • If used, check the text of the invoice email

  • Open the booking confirmation for the test booking and check the PDF content

  • If used, open the invoice and check the PDF content

Tip: Use clearly identifiable test data for test bookings so that you can easily identify them later.

Completed

Once all checklist items have been completed, you have finished the basic setup of attendee registration and, if applicable, paper submission, as well as the planned functional tests.
