Using the Backoffice dashboard and displaying additional registration counts

This article describes the Backoffice dashboard, the information displayed there by default, and how to display additional registration counts from answers as separate tiles.

Overview

The dashboard is the central homepage in the Backoffice. You can access it via the Converia icon in the top-left corner of the menu bar.

The dashboard gives you a quick overview of key figures and direct access to central work areas. By default, information from the Attendees, Papers and Reviews areas is displayed. You can also add further registration counts from answers as separate tiles on the dashboard.

Prerequisites

  • Access to the Backoffice

  • For additional registration counts: access to Management → Organization & planning → Answers

Default dashboard content

The dashboard displays various areas with key figures and shortcuts by default.

Attendees

  • Bookings

  • outstanding payments

  • invoices to be checked

Papers

  • abstracts submitted

  • abstracts invited

  • manuscripts submitted

  • manuscripts invited

Reviews

  • reviews pending

Quick start on the dashboard

At the top of the dashboard, buttons provide direct access to central areas:

  • Person

  • Settings (Configuration)

  • Check-in

Depending on the area, additional shortcuts are available within the dashboard tiles, e.g. Bookings, Invoices, Papers or Reviews (Final review).

Displaying additional registration counts from answers

You can add further key figures to the dashboard. To do this, link an answer to the dashboard. The corresponding tile then displays the number of bookings or the number of people who have booked this answer. Clicking the relevant tile opens the corresponding filtered booking view.

Configuration / Procedure

  1. Open Management → Organization & planning → Answers.

  2. Select the desired answer.

  3. Switch to the Dashboard tab.

  4. In the Dashboard label field, enter the label you want to display in the tile.

  5. Enable Show number of participants on dashboard to display the key figure on the dashboard.

  6. If required, also enable Summarize bookings per person to display the actual number of people instead of the number of bookings.

  7. Save the configuration.

Notes

  • The dashboard serves as a central starting point for daily work in the Backoffice.

  • Unless Summarize bookings per person is enabled, the tile displays the number of bookings for an answer.

  • If a person has booked the same service multiple times, the number of bookings may be higher than the actual number of people.

  • With Summarize bookings per person enabled, the number of people who have booked this answer is displayed.

  • Clicking an additional dashboard tile opens the corresponding filtered booking view.
